There has been quite a large addition of photographs to the Images of Birmingham Photo Library.  To see just the new additions, go to the Latest Images section.  The following are just some of the new architectural material. Prints can be ordered of any image on the library, right up to A2 size.

Longbridge Digger

A while ago I mentioned upgrading all the office PC’s and software, to offer new facilities to clients.  These ranged from instant web galleries for commissioned work, to easier manipulation of images – essentially I wanted to be able to provide an all in one (fast) service to my commercial customers – creating even more loyalty between us.  The more loyal we are to one another, the less likely they are to venture elsewhere for photography.

Based on the new ‘fast’ systems, the images are now starting to be published in a variety of ways.  For example, I have started work on the Longbridge regeneration site. For an ’arty’ image of a digger on site, representing a corporate client, the image was taken, manipulated, proofed and supplied online, all within a short period of time.  Today this was published as a ‘near’ double page spread in a Who’s Who in Construction.

RIBA book

Last night was the launch of the RIBA book titled, Birmingham: Shaping the City. A hardback book showcasing various architectural projects, for which the city should be proud.

I was the Photo Editor for the book, and photographer for some of the projects, while Ben Flatman was the Author (a very nice man who spent years researching it).
